Blue J alternatives: how Fiscari compares
Fiscari is UK-only by design, published from £19.50 per user / month, and available to any firm. Here is where it beats Blue J — and the cases where Blue J is straightforwardly the better tool.

Where Fiscari is stronger
Blue J is a strong AI-native product and we are not going to pretend otherwise. The differences that matter to a UK buyer are focus, price, and whether you can actually buy it — not capability.
UK-only, by design
Every source in the corpus is UK: legislation, HMRC manuals, VAT notices, tribunal decisions. Nothing to filter out, and no US commentary shaping an answer about UK treatment.
A third of the cost at entry
A Fiscari individual licence is £468 a year against Blue J's published Individual tier at £1,500 per user per year — and you can evaluate before either of you signs anything.
Available to any UK firm
Blue J holds an exclusive partnership with KPMG among the UK Big Four for three years from February 2024, so PwC, Deloitte and EY cannot use it directly. Fiscari has no such restriction.
A published refusal policy
We tell you when we cannot ground an answer. Blue J publishes a disagree rate instead — a reasonable approach, but a different one, and it does not tell you what happened on your question.

What Fiscari cannot do
Three things worth knowing before you switch, including the cases where Blue J is the better buy.
-
We cannot help you outside the UK
UK-only is a deliberate choice and it has a cost. If you handle cross-border work, or need one tool across several tax systems, Blue J does something we simply do not do and you should buy it instead.
-
No licensed commentary
Blue J pairs primary sources with licensed commentary. We ground on public UK material only, which is more transparent and also narrower.
-
We publish no accuracy statistic
Blue J reports a disagree rate of around 1 in 700 — the lowest figure published in this market. We would rather show you the citation on every answer than quote a number, but if a published benchmark is what your procurement process needs, we do not have one.
Worth a look if…
-
At PwC, Deloitte or EY in the UK
The KPMG exclusivity closes that door until 2027. Fiscari is available to you today, self-serve.
-
A solo or small practice
Blue J's entry tier is a price mismatch at this size. Start where the pricing is sized for the work.
-
Doing genuine cross-border work
Buy Blue J. We are the wrong tool and would rather tell you now than after you have paid.
