    5 Steps to Working More Effectively

    1. Capture - The information/tasks that are important to you

    Collect what interests you, in whatever way works for you.  A notepad, voicemails, emails, sticky notes - capture anything that has your attention.  Personal projects, professional projects, work, social life, home projects, small and large, all the things you have to do, collect it.

    2.      CLAIRIFY - Process what it means

    Take everything you have and then ask can it be actioned?  Turn lists into actionable categories that make sense to you.  Is it for reference, or is it a task that needs to be actioned?  Use the 5-minute rule; if it takes less than 5 minutes then do it straight away.  Delegate if you can get it done quicker, or put into one of the action lists.

    3.      ORGANISE – Put it in the right place

    Group your categories and set reminders of when you need them done.      4.      REFLECT – Review frequently
