Go to Connect and choose Opportunities from the options at the top.
Then, click “Add an Opportunity” which you find in the “Tools” on the right hand side of the screen.
Fill in as much information as you can, including:
If the contact already exists in Connect, just start typing their name into the box, if not, click “Create new contact” to create a new contact for the opportunity.
Once all fields have been completed, click “Create” at the bottom and the opportunity will be created.
To update an opportunity, go to the opportunities area in Connect and find the opportunity you want to update.
The screen will then display all of the details of the opprtunity and you are able to update any aspect.
The status updates with a single click as does changing the probability.
To change the value of the opportunity, update the value then click "Update".
If you wish to add a note, write it in the box and click "Save note" and it will be saved.
To close an opportunity, simply locate it in Connect and then then click on it to open it up.
To close it, simply click on the status of "Won" or "Lost" and it will be closed.
You can reopen an opportunity if you need to at any time.
When you click on the Opportunity tab in Connect on the right hand side you will see some graphs which give you a quick view of the status of the opportunities in your account.
There are two graphs, the top one shows the user how many opportunities are currently open (whether alive or on hold).
The second shows how a particular period of time has gone. You can choose between the past year and the current month to see how things have been going.
